Before going back-to-school - IFOODex and early Father's Day celebration at Dragon-i

We went to Jelutong morning market for last minute back-to-school shopping. Too hot, no photos :)

In the afternoon, was tempted to check out what does Food Fair looks like. It's the IFOODex at PISA, Penang that I meant. Quite disappointed, as there was Korean food shown on The Star. Only the ham/sausage/steamboat fish ball stuff are in freezers. All the rest are dried food. I thought it'd be like the Korean Food Fair at Gurney Plaza last year where there'd be variety. I was searching high and low for kimchi.

Still hungry, so we went for small Father's Day celebration with 爸爸 at Dragon-i. The children had 2 pcs of Shanghainese steamed meat dumpling 上海小笼包 each. 姐姐 had 2 servings of la mian with Shanghainese pork chop (in the kid's bowl) and 弟弟 had some steamed rice with minced pork and egg. And they ate the desserts below, except durian pancake which 姐姐 only tasted for a bite and that's it. 弟弟 say it's smelly and stay far away from it. So the durian pancake are left for us.

In the end, found my usual Chongga mat kimchi at Aeon, so much for trying to get it at the IFOODex.
