Wedding dinner

姐姐 accompany me to friend's wedding dinner. The band, Starz Band from Starz Music Academy, is elegant and classy. They play violin, saxaphone, keyboard, singers. 姐姐 is quite intruiged with the violin playing. She loves the songs "Over The Rainbow" and "Canon in D", both are solos performed by the voilinist. I think she's quite surprised to hear "Over The Rainbow", as it's one of the children's lullaby songs. As for Canon in D, I play it a few times (simple version) so she heard it before. She wasn't so much into the saxophone playing, I think the saxophone player is pretty good too, but maybe she doesn't know how to appreciate adult music yet. If anyone is having wedding and looking for music/entertainment, I'd recommend the band.

She was quite good (albeit a little cheeky and playful since 爸爸 is not around) during dinner, I manage to feed her some food. But she was squeezing in and out of her chair, and playing with balloons. She even tried to go under the table but luckily I manage to stop her. She didn't touch the orange soda drink, instead had warm water as she still have a bit of cough. Good girl overall! Her favorite dish is the dessert, honey dew sago with longan. 哈哈! It's only slightly chilled but didn't see any ice, so she get to have it. She thought about 弟弟 and bring back 2 balloons and 2 cakes (in the little boxes) to share.

Towards the end of the wedding dinner, the band played the song 姐姐 danced to during her concert "Sha La La". It's arranged more rock-and-roll, so she said it's not the same song :)

While 爸爸 was away... we had some fun

Shopping that is. It's girls' time so I bring 姐姐 shopping for her party dress that I promised for her birthday. I needed to see her trying it on, otherwise if it doesn't fit will be difficult to return or exchange (not like US where we can return with refund). 爸爸 was away for wedding dinner outstation and 弟弟 is under 婆婆's care.

姐姐 promised to be good and walk on her own. Sometimes if we go as family she'd request to be carried - manja. She said "不能走的时候拿 trolley 啦!". I told her I might not be able to handle a big trolley like 爸爸.

We had an enjoyable trip. We had pancakes for lunch and she chose her pancake - crepes with cream cheese and ice-cream, and hot chocolate with marshmallow to drink (ahem, she order from looking at the photos in the menu). She gave her opinion when I try on some blouses - said one of the blouse has funny design 哈哈. She said the adult clothes stores are boring when there isn't any children stuff to see. She helped me reserve a table while I went to order teabreak later at the coffee outlet. No wonder everyone say having a girl is a blessing! Still I wish I didn't stay that long as she was really tired towards the latter part. She dragged me away from the last shop I wanted to go. And she helped to stick the car park ticket into the autopay machine by herself.

She wanted to take a photo with the christmas decorations which she is so fascinated with.

Going on to Pre-Primary

I received a call on Monday from the ballet school. The admin told me "She can go to pre-primary class this week". I was so surprised as she just joined in June. I told the lady who called "But she just joined not too long ago". The admin said "I dunno, maybe you can ask teacher".

When we reached the school, it was a bit later than usual - traffic jam. As soon as I finish wearing 姐姐's ballet shoes for her, Ms Grace had started calling the children's names. The girls lined up and tip-toed into the class, a different studio from the beginner's class. The class is much quieter and the children finally settled down to learn. As one of the mothers' say "Learn some steps". So she is now in pre-primary class from this week. I think they are asking those children who are 5 to go to this class. Next year they will have exam. Wonder what it will be like?

Here is the doll that she brings to the class nowadays. It's a gift from my best friend.

2nd hospital stay

爸爸 brought 弟弟 to take off the stitches on Tuesday, and since he has a cough we thought just visit the paed for medication. We thought it's just coughing and phlegm. But doctor says it's more serious than that. So ended up 爸爸 called me to say he's taking 弟弟 for chest x-ray, and will have to stay in the hospital for treatment. I was quite shocked as receive the call during lunchtime.

When I reached the hospital, both father and son are in the 4-bedded room. Wow, nowadays business is so good that 2-bedded room are on waiting list. 弟弟眼泪汪汪的看着我, and want a hug. I ask him: 弟弟，头脱线痛还是bear-bear 手痛? Without a doubt, he say: Bear-bear 手比较痛. I bring him to the playroom to play while wait for 爸爸 to bring 日用品 for us. See he is still in school clothes as we thought just a checkup.

At night I accompany him and here he is getting the vapor treatment. He says the "gas" smells like vanilla and didn't resist it. After that is the physiotherapy 拍痰. He kind of enjoyed it as we tell him nurse help him massage.

During the night, as he was sleepy, he resisted a little when taking medicine. He told me "No!" and turned his head when I tried to feed him medicine at night. After half-threatening to leave the feeding to nurse, he finally agreed to take medicine. The child opposite is crying fervently everytime when it comes to medicine time. The baby next to us is crying even harder.... Luckily all of them on home leave after 11pm :)

Finally 挨 until the next day. He keep thinking only of the playroom....

By 2nd day we just get to go to 2-bed room. Phew, some privacy at last! This time is really a short stay, as I think the milder cases get to go home early. During doctor's visit, he keep asking can the boy take medicine, do we know how to physio. And when doctor ask him, 弟弟 say 我会吃药！ And gulped down the medicine just to show doctor and nurse. He'll do anything to go home :)
