Leisure weekend

This is a leisurely weekend for us. We get to eat out (finally!). And I couldn't resist taking photos of them playing at the "playground" at the mall. We were shopping for ingredients for dinner's spaghetti, as the sauce from last week cannot last more than 14 days after opened.

Early Mid-Autumn Festival celebration - outdoors

This year we bought cartoon paper lanterns for the children. 公公 also bought them traditional rabbit lantern. During the weekend we went to have another early Mid-Autumn Festival celebration. The children brought their own lanterns, and the organizer gave another set to them. So now they have 3 sets!

Here they are walking around the poolside with their lanterns and balloons.

We entered the Lantern making competition. 姐姐 wanted to make a rabbit lantern (rabbit again?!). Actually 爸爸 did most of the work and drawing. We just hang around watching and help to stick a few pieces together...

Ta-dah! The final product.... Didn't win but good opportunity to try new stuff.

Walking with lighted lanterns after dinner. 姐姐 was not very happy with the candle inside as she was afraid it would burn her. She'd only take it to pose for photo. But 弟弟 enjoyed carrying the lighted lantern and walking around.

Special Mooncake

We had some delicious mooncake made by Auntie. There are Hello Kitty, Doraemon and Mickey Mouse design. Both of us had one piece each. We really enjoyed it. Yummy! The snow skin really complements the red bean fillings very well. They are suitable for children as moderately sweet and small size for after dinner dessert during 中秋节.

Do we look alike?

These photos of the children remind me of myself. I think it's because of the hairstyle :P So who's who?

Sick :(

姐姐 was sick with fever. This time, she really cannot take medicine well. As soon as she smelt the medicine, she'd vomit it out, including the milk she had consumed earlier. She'd have to retake the medicine if she vomit. The container comes in handy to contain the vomit stuff :P

Poor girl, she lost weight as no appetite. During the day she goes to 婆婆's house and 婆婆 help to take care of her. She didn't go to school and ballet class. But she was well enough to go to music class. There was a lot of new homework as school had started. Now we know homework also got backlog. **Sigh**.... Homework is the life of a potential Chinese school child.

At The Park

Typically we'd stay at home during weekends. The children had not been well and had been getting sick lately. This weekend, they are better and we decided to go out for lunch.

爸爸 bring us to new place called 大班中國風味館. He came here before and the fish soup is very good. The place's gimmick is that fish ordered is caught live with a net by the restaurant staff. The children enjoyed watching uncle catch fish and also enjoyed the food.

I took a few photos of them as the interior is 古色古香, kind of like Chinese New Year. 哈哈...

After lunch, since weather permit, we went to Youth Park finally!

Doctor’s visit

We spent actual Merdeka Day at home. H1N1 is rather scary and taking so many lives away. 弟弟 was having mild flu last weekend, so we stayed at home. This week Friday he started having fever. We gave him the paracetamol he usually have.

Throughout weekend we cook barley water and chrysanthemum every day, still didn’t really help.

Fever recovering, but run out of flu medicine. Doctor gave him antibiotics for the tonsillitis that’s starting.

He only had on the mask for a short while. After seeing doctor, he refused to put it on back. Fortunately not too crowded during the visit.
