New Textbooks

Our little princess got 6 new textbooks/activity books for Year 2. These are swanking new. We reminded her to take good care of her books. She had the cheek to answer "My classmate, D's books look very new when returned. He use the "blurry" type plastic cover". I told her it's the handling and not the type of plastic cover, but she insisted the type used by her classmate helps a lot. Well, is it true?
