The excitement builds up for new Transformer movie, Dark of the Moon. The new movie is coming in July 2011. We were at Parkson 1st Avenue and saw this Optimus Prime truck at the toy section. Couldn't resist getting a photo. I overheard a staff saying they have Bumblebee too, but didn't get them on where it's displayed. Will be keeping a lookout for it. The Optimus Prime truck carrying a host of Transformer figures, there are some new bots that was not in the previous two movies. Wonder are they new robots for this 3rd movie?
This is at the TGV, also can't resist to get a momento. There's also a Kungfu Panda mock scene, but the children doesn't wanna co-operate to take a moment to snap a pic. Planning to be here for the transformer movie as Citibank have buy 1 free 1 promotion.
Later we went over to KOMTAR as children are looking for the Dome again. We manage to go inside the Dome as some folks are preparing for an event. KOMTAR is really in bad shape as there are wires and metal strips hanging down from the ceiling. 爸爸 being tall say someone taller than him would hit his head on the stuff swinging down from the ceiling. We're not going again if you ask me! Now KOMTAR, Prangin Mall and 1st Avenue all connected via skybridges and we don't have to walk outside to get from one to the other.
They picked some yellow little flowers as they say it's for Mother's Day :)
We had lunch at Master Choo's Kitchen (朱师父) at 1st Avenue. It's kopitiam style (a little cross btw Dragon-i/Kim Gary but more economical), I think the chair is uncomfortable but the children like bouncing while waiting for food. The drinks are pretty good, we had 鸳鸯 and 奶茶. Food is so-so, we had cheese fried rice, noodles and curry cheese rice. Children love the cheese fried rice, but the other two is not so nice. Children also had piggy bun, it's like 奶黄包 with piggy face. The best food is the pandan egg tart, all of us loved it. Yummy! $1.6 each, quite expensive for our taste. No photo as too busy eating. Next time must try the dim sum.

Sports Day 2011
Once a year Sports Day at North Sports Centre. Luckily not raining today, otherwise getting in and out is difficult. It was indeed blessing as it was pouring in the afternoon already!
Waiting for Sports Day to start with his class and teacher Jessie
Getting ready to march, look at his Thinking Cap, covering his eyes as usual as he's not used to wearing cap.
Marching around the "field" - it's actually fake grass :) 弟弟 is the one in white sneakers and blue socks.
Queuing up for the Negaraku and school songs performance. Only 6 and 3 years old children have special performance. 弟弟 is always either looking left, right or behind, so difficult to capture his photo here. This year, finally his shorts look like real shorts, which is above his knees. Last year, the shorts look more like hip-hop style bermudas as they were baggy and below his knees.
Watching others' performance
Getting ready for his class game
What's with the cap?
Cheering on his team and waiting for his turn. His game is called "Saving The Water".
Off he goes
And back
Teacher Lee Choo: Those who finish please go to the back!
Cheering for his team after his turn
Enjoying his snack
Keep gesturing to him to drink water, finally teacher Jessie distributed their water bottles and he drank after finish eating bun. The weather's erratic, if it's not super hot, it's raining heavily. Need to be very careful and drink tonnes of water to stay healthy.
We're allowed into the field while parents and children play games. While waiting, parents took the opportunity to snap photos.
Posing with teacher Jessie's class - En-Owens
With 姐姐. They always like to play with the class tag.
Joined in tug-of-war. The big guy in white t-shirt and black shorts is 爸爸.
爸爸 also join the tug-of-war for fathers :) His team won, and got a checked ball as souvenir.
姐姐 bouncing on the netting while waiting for 弟弟's turn to take trophy.
Why you pose like that, 弟弟?Waiting to get participation trophy.
Got it! All the children get one trophy and one goodie bag for participation and being a good sport.

How to overcome the current hot day
Go swimming of course! I had a cough and sore throat. Probably from exam month stress :P Therefore finally we have some photos from the pool. 弟弟 also agreed do not need to hold onto my neck in the pool. See them have fun here...
弟弟:姐姐! 帮我拿那ball 来!
Got it!
Nose the ball like a seal :)
Chase the ball together
Nice catch!
By himself... 犹毅。。。
Getting confident..
"V"!
Play ball again
弟弟 learning how to move in the pool with a float. It's a start...
After swimming, we had some 甘薯银耳汤 cooked with ginger and rock sugar. Suppose to be good for those with weaker breathing system - 呼吸系统较弱者.
Then both children knocked off until dinner time :)
