The first time ever we brought 姐姐 and 弟弟 to Taiping. We were there only to visit Taiping Zoo and didn't plan for any other places. It's another month to 弟弟 going on 2 years old, and 姐姐 has just turned 4 at this time.
The children were very happy to be visiting the
Taiping Zoo. This is the first time they visit a zoo and see so many animals up close. We bring sandwiches as snacks and ate at one of the rest huts. We took the Zoo mini train which bring us around the grounds. It's a nifty way to go around without walking until our legs fall off. But it's always a long queue especially during peak season like school holidays and weekends. The mini trains are all decorated with animal prints, like tiger stripes, zebra stripes etc. We didn't take many photos as it's drizzling and the grounds were a little wet here and there.

After that, we were going to drive back home. We stopped by at Taiping Lake for a short walk. It's really pretty there with the shady and majestic trees. There's also a section of the lake with lotus flowers.

Just a short trip, but we were very happy since it's the first time we go for short trip together.
