Tropical Spice Garden and Beach

After 姐姐's school exams and ballet exam is done, we had a short trip to Tropical Spice Garden and the beach. It was rainy through the week but today is a nice sunny day. I love sunny days!

There are 4 of us, 2 children and 2 adults, so we still had to get the family package at $35. In the website and brochure, it says parking is free, hahah... by the roadside. Anyone visiting, pls go early ~10am, as it is difficult to find a place to park by the time we reach ~11am. At the entrace, the reception staff encouraged everyone to put on the serai mixture lotion which will deter mosquitoes. We slapped so much all over our body but still got a few mosquito bites.

Tired after going through jungle trail. This is the place where they are having Spice Kitchen - cooking using traditional utensils. We're kinda intruding on ppl's lesson.

We had lunch at Tree Monkey. Even going to the restaurant is a hike. We're so tired! This is pineapple rice - yummy!

Finally coax both children to step on the sand. Initially they clung to the beach mat.

Doctor visit

This is the neighbourhood doctor's place. 弟弟 has allergy, and everytime he has flu will follow with cough and phlegm. Have to take care when he gets flu, otherwise it will cause phelgm which will take a turn for worse and become bronchopneumonia which he is very prone to. This is what Dr Sim said. The flu and coughing came and went, we think he is getting better under Dr Sim. So even though waiting time is long, we decided to go there. The children enjoy taking medicine he prescribe as it taste sweet.

弟弟 goes to music class

Finally 弟弟 gets to go to music class. He has been looking forward for a long time as he sees 姐姐 goes every week. He watches the DVD and listen to music together with 姐姐. So he is very excited over finally starting class. I was so busy watching him and reminding him not to touch all the buttons, pedals or wires that I did not get a chance to take a photo. Will post one when we go to class next.

Ballet Pre-Primary preparation

姐姐's preparation for her ballet pre-primary ISTD exam, from September she is attending extra 1 hour class every week. I just heard from one of the moms that girls fr this ballet school will take ISTD exam from pre-primary to Grade 1, then move to RAD Grade 2. ISTD exams are usually held Oct timeframe, RAD ~April/May timeframe. So those moving from Grade 1 to Grade 2 will have to go through intensive 6 mths training.

There are 5 girls in her group for exam. She was selected to partner 2 girls for the clap and gallop, and ponies and farmers. Maybe she is more obedient in class.
