Tropical Spice Garden and Beach

After 姐姐's school exams and ballet exam is done, we had a short trip to Tropical Spice Garden and the beach. It was rainy through the week but today is a nice sunny day. I love sunny days!

There are 4 of us, 2 children and 2 adults, so we still had to get the family package at $35. In the website and brochure, it says parking is free, hahah... by the roadside. Anyone visiting, pls go early ~10am, as it is difficult to find a place to park by the time we reach ~11am. At the entrace, the reception staff encouraged everyone to put on the serai mixture lotion which will deter mosquitoes. We slapped so much all over our body but still got a few mosquito bites.

Pond at the entrance

Children enjoy this giant swing. There is a safety net, but still have to be careful.

They love this steps, we had to wait for them to go through twice

Enjoying the hammock

The mosaic art feature

My take of Pinang tree

A fortress - like in a fairytale, but I think I spoilt the photo as didn't get the whole of it :P

Children trying to smell ylang-ylang

At the "Spices of the World" globe

Lily pond near bamboo garden

Trying to smell the lilies

Tired after going through jungle trail. This is the place where they are having Spice Kitchen - cooking using traditional utensils. We're kinda intruding on ppl's lesson.

Trying on the coconut grater... with mat sallehs in the background

Saw this tractor parked by the side, and 爸爸 allowed them to jump on to take a photo

On the wooden bridge...

This lantern buy is done by a artist for the Garden... 姐姐 is quite scared of it, and 弟弟 refuse to get anywhere near it.

Some old equipment...

We had lunch at Tree Monkey. Even going to the restaurant is a hike. We're so tired! This is pineapple rice - yummy!

The cream fettucine is so-so only.

Goofing at the Tree Monkey with the fake stuff

Last photo at the front. Did you notice 弟弟 put thumbs down, we had to correct him.

The beach is just opposite the garden

Finally coax both children to step on the sand. Initially they clung to the beach mat.

弟弟 getting his feet wet paddling

Oops, sorry 爸爸. Your head is no longer as cute as 弟弟's, just happen to click on the camera and with their movement, 爸爸's head went out of the camera's focus :)

Trying to dig treasure from the sand.
