Mid-Autumn Festival celebration

We had an early celebration this year. 弟弟 bring back a lantern from teacher, and all the children from his class have one. Even though he forgot to bring the plastic bottle for teacher for art and craft, teacher still gave him one on Parent Teachers' Day for being good boy in class. 姐姐 being an understanding girl agreed to take back the previous year lantern. 爸爸 tried to stabilize 弟弟's lantern by filling in some soil before placing a tealight candle on top of the soil. At least the candle was won't burn through the plastic bottle lantern :)

Full moon in the sky.
Note: Just found out through trial and error that potrait photos need to be uploaded as is for Blogger and do not need to rotate prior. Otherwise will turn out upside down instead. Phew, finally found my answer.

Now for the food. Thung's mom gave us these wonderfully cute and yummy cartoon design snow skin mini mooncakes. Cannot be found in the market ya, this exclusive, lip-smacking and healthy homemade mooncake have to wait for her to open her bakery :) They tasted superlicious and this year's filling is lotus paste.

This Doraemon (can be called Doraemon??) mini 公仔饼. Found at market near our taman, only RM1.40 per piece. Filling is pandan inspired. At this price, please don't compare the taste with more expensive "designer" mooncakes like Tai Thong etc.

We had also bought Tai Thong mooncake and both children also like their Snow Skin Lotus (green color) and Jade Custard (filling is green).
