Other than P and Q, Teacher Ooi also taught the children U for Umbrella. Here is the umbrella 弟弟 bring home and hang up. Both 姐姐 and 弟弟 like to say "下雨了!" and hold the umbrella.

He fell....and knocked his head
弟弟 had a fall at nursery. He had to have 2 stitches on his forehead where the wound is.
Poor boy, teacher Queenie said he was following Teacher Ooi too closely and she knocked into him when she turned. He lost his balance and fell at the patterned steps at the main door. Ouch! It must have hurt a lot. 姐姐 was at the back having lunch and heard him cry. She saw him with a lot of blood on his face and even his clothes.
Teacher Queenie called 爸爸 immediately and brought him to hospital emergency unit. As the hospital need one of the parents to sign in order to give him treatment. I didn't go to the hospital as 爸爸 already rushed there. 爸爸 said the doctor at emergency unit gave a few options, and they agreed on using some "plaster tape". Supposedly it will stick the wound together. But 爸爸 is required to go out of the treatment room. Big mistake - he cried as soon as soon as 爸爸 steps out of the room. The doctor did not dare to do anything with 弟弟 anymore, so referred him to specialist.
With the specialist again the same options given. According to him, the best would be to have a couple of stitches, so that the wound would heal better. The specialist wanted to knock him out as he said 弟弟 was already scared due to the first try, and he's afraid 弟弟 will resist if he tried the stitches. 爸爸 said it's not as serious and if he's allowed to be with 弟弟, he's sure 弟弟 will not struggle and make it complicated. Doctor agreed to give him another try, and 爸爸 comforted 弟弟 to co-operate or he will have to be admitted (which is his biggest fear).
In the end 弟弟 was a very good boy. He allowed doctor to give the anaestetic shots on his forehead. He didn't struggle or cause the doctor unable to finish the stitches. According to 爸爸, he only whined a bit but kept still. He is brave at heart! Finally the 2 stitches are done (ehem, 爸爸 say doctor didn't make one of the stitch properly and had to redo, so it's 3 times). He was given a plaster which is very strong adhesive and water proof.
When I came back home in the evening, both children rushed to me and tell me about 弟弟's fall. I saw him with bruises on his nose bridge and parts of his forehead. My heart sank when saw how much he went through. Even though it's an accident, but I still hurt for my boy. His eyes are still watery from all the tears he shed. But see him here, still want to take a photo and show the plaster on his forehead.

Plant - Science class?
姐姐 bring home a little Milo cup with some 豆芽 or beansprouts. Must be teacher trying to teach children about plants. The cup is filled with cotton, and the 4 little beansprouts grow from it. However after keeping the cup for a few days, the cotton started to get moldy. And she forgot to water it too, so I had to "help" water it on behalf when I'm in the kitchen. Unfortunately, I'm not a person with green fingers. They just didn't thrive......

Italian buffet
The children loved going for buffets, and we bring them for a treat on special occasions. They eat for free anyway. Well, this week is not for any special occasion but 爸爸 just want to bring us out for dinner since we haven't been out for some time. The food is so-so compared to the lunch buffet that we had before at the same place. Dessert is also lacking the chocolate fountain that they had for the buffet lunch. Still, they enjoyed it all the same. 弟弟 had 3 portions of the fruit cocktail, we had no idea why he find it so appealing.

Percussion Ensemble
Today teacher allow us to play as Percussion Ensemble. I am playing castanet. We follow teacher's instruction and play to Animal's Mambo. It was fun!

Concert 2009 - Nurtured To Love
It's concert time! We were late sending the children to concert hall as 弟弟's pants is too long and we had to sew it up for him. Still not too late, teachers manage to put on make-up for the children, boys also had to wear makeup. It's so funny to see 弟弟 with such red lips.

Queue up to go back to 'waiting room' prior to concert start..good to know he is not the smallest child in the class.
Start En-Nightingale performance, good to share that he is following the music, singing softly along and did some of the steps. He didn't freeze up like previously during Sports Day performance. Big achievement, he didn't cry either. They dance and sing to "Dinasaur", "Under The Sea" and "下雨了".

First song is "Sha La La". 姐姐 say her costume is very sexy, and pink in color. For me, very difficult to put on (it has velcro at the back and seem a bit small). The top is also making her itch and get rashes as it is made of sequins and hard lace. We try to encourage her more and we're proud of her. But we tell her next time please remember to smile and sing. She say "我喉咙痛嘛".
Then 姐姐's class sing "Home Sweet Home" and “对面的女孩看过来"
Finale, didn't manage to get 姐姐's photo as the 5 year olds are standing behind. 弟弟 was initially looking like going to cry. (When we asked him later, he said because other children are crying so he also wants to cry). But he is standing beside Teacher Ooi and once the music started, he is also singing along with the others. After a while, he start playing with the balloons around the stage and even fiddling one of the mikes. Luckily it's the end of the concert and no one is too concerned. All in all, the children enjoyed themselves and we enjoy seeing them.

JMC Primary2 mini concert
姐姐 had prepared for some time since teacher mentioned about mini concert. Teacher had said "Teacher prepare balloons, mummy prepare present for exchange, and children will provide the music". The children have to prepare 2 or 3 songs to play on stage during mini concert. They will also sing "Let's Go" in group.
Her singing is still soft (can hear other children but not really hear her). But she did all the dancing action that teacher taught. For her individual keyboard playing, she is really good (I put down "pretty good" when writing this post. She is sitting beside me and said I must put really good).
弟弟 came along, and had fun as well. He joined the class during "Let's Go" singing and make house action. He also played music game with 爸爸. Finally the children sing Goodbye song, 弟弟 also join with them. Before going home, all the children go and hug teacher, even 弟弟 also rush to hug teacher.
