National Day

Children were requested to wear traditional costume on 8/30 to celebrate National Day. Didn't have time to take photo of them in the traditional wear.

They bring back these nifty craft from school. 姐姐 did the flag songkok, and 弟弟 did the kite. 姐姐 reminded me to take her photo, she likes seeing the blog about her and 弟弟 actually. 弟弟 was having a tantrum and didn't want his photo taken. He walked away just as I clicked on the camera thus can still see his hands and feet. (Actually I think he was just taking the chance to throw a tantrum. Both children had been sent to 罚站 at the balcony as they had been quarrelling since waking up this morning. He had been given a couple of smacks on his pet-pet as he destroyed a clip-on thingy on the balcony).


Finally around lunch time he agree to take a photo with 姐姐's songkok while he enjoys noodles with his favourite - prawns.

Drawings and colouring

姐姐 bring back some art work from school. Not sure how teacher made the black whale, but there are decorations on its body that 姐姐 did with a toothpick. Colourful fish is scrunchy paper sticking on the fish cut-out.

弟弟's colouring on Mickey Mouse. Star is drawn by 姐姐, and the "V. Good" also given by her.

There's been a mix-up with this year with 姐姐's Father's Day gift. It was lost.. So I didn't make a separate post about it so hope she didn't feel bad about it. Here's Mother's Days gift. Mom get a heart necklace.

This is 弟弟's wall. Mom gets a flower, and Dad gets a coffee cup.

Learn to use chopstick

姐姐 came back this week from ballet practise to say that Ms Grace asked them to learn to use chopstick. Not sure why this is required for ballet practise, but it's something we had meant to do but keep procrastinate. Now is a good time since Ms Grace mentioned. Here's her trying to pick up a piece of cake with chopstick. She manage to do it thus the victorious smile :)

Finally a trip outside of home

Now that the children health are getting better, finally we made a shopping trip.
QBM is having a kampung-style display at the center court. 弟弟 didn't want any photos taken, but 姐姐 is my willing model.

Playing at the playground.. a new bike they like. Having 2 children means 2 can ride for the price of 1.

弟弟: Yeah! Finally my turn to be driver.

姐姐: I'm scared of falling, 弟弟 don't dance on the bike (still manage a smile)

We hardly ever buy any toys. But the children was willing to even hold a squiggly, ugly rubber worm and run one round to get these white seals home. Finally 爸爸 agreed to buy them one seal each. They still fight over the little seal even each has one big seal :(

Marching

The children learning to march the ballet way. They have to bring up their skirts so that they can see if their legs are straight. It takes talent to get it right quickly, but it's certainly good to help correct her posture. One word of reminder of Ms Grace or Ms Tiffany is better than a hundred words from mom, it seems.

Cartoon bedsheet set

The children had been asking for cartoon comforter and bedsheet set for some time now. Since they did behave when 爸爸 went for biz trip, I promised them will get them the cartoon bedsheet set for them if we find them. Just happen to find them at Tesco while we go grocery shopping.


Tried to tell 姐姐 that since she prefer Disney princess like Cinderella and Aurora and Belle, why not wait for another design, but she is adamant to get her hands on these. As long as she like it...


弟弟 choose the Doraemon design with a little mouse. Can hardly see it here though.


Would hv preferred 100% cotton but those are pricier. However they are made of polycotton, so quite hot when sleeping with these comforters. They just grin and bear it.

弟弟's first haircut

Before he had longish fringe...

弟弟 had his first haircut at the hairdresser. 爸爸 took him to the shop he frequented. We all could hardly recognize him. He looks like mini 爸爸. He said the haircut is very ticklish.

Not sure why the photo turned upside down, but just to show they 两父子 hv same hair style now.
